My Process
Film and photography are my strongest mediums for visual story telling. In film, I have worked on large and small productions. For me, in particular, organization is an aspect of film I strive in, so I often work in editing. If an editor cannot organize files or label sequences correctly, there will be no final product. The most important aspect of film is teamwork. Everyone must become an expert in their job, but also be willing to help anyone else on set. Trust is needed between everyone on the crew.
In photography, I make sure every picture can send a message, Living in Taiwan, I am unable to connect with my Hispanic heritage as much. When I went back to El Salvador, I found my voice as an artist. I believe my responsibility is to share untold stories through images. I am able to document the fear, struggle and happiness around the world.
